Dondi: So what’s important about that?

Grandma: I—I’m curious to know if his Anca people are really the Ancient INCA—or is King Xalta merely obsessed with a myth? After all, it is one thing to be an Inca Queen and quite another to be simply the wife of an aborigine.

Dondi: But Gee, Grandma, if you LOVE King Xalta, what’s the difference?

Grandma: I intend to take King Xalta back to New York with me and Taboo or no taboo—I MUST KNOW THE SECRET OF THE TREE OF KNOWLEDGE!

“Dondi,” The New York Post, June 27, 1971

The Gay Liberation Front is a radical and revolutionary organization, based on anarchist guidelines, similar to the Black Panthers and Weathermen. They represent themselves as a homophile organization, but are unlike such respectable and dedicated organizations as Daughters of Bilitis and Mattachine.
